Dan Eldon : Artist/activists/adventurer that spent most of his years in Africa working as a photojournalist. He didn't consider himself as just a photojournalist though. He very much integrated himself into the everyday life of living in this area regularly interacting with it's citizens. At age 22 he was stones to death in a riot in Somalia. What he left behind were many mixed media collage pages containing items, photographs, drawing, any anything you can think of that he gathered along his journeys through Africa.
Katie Drew : Illustrator/collage artist. She is a blog that I fallow on Tumblr and Flickr. I love her work! I love her use of pattern and texture; she doesn't over-do it, but leaves just enough making me want to reach out and touch it. All of it just seems so organic as if it just came directly out of her thoughts onto the pages of her sketchbook.
Brian Kasstle : Collage Artist. I fallow his Flickr page. His work is filled with bright colors, textures, patterns! He does a lot of paint, collage, and text overlapping giving his work a lot of depth. His work keeps your eye moving throughout each piece.
Cornelia Konrads : Sculpter/Installation Artist. I found this artist via Tumblr when someone I fallow posted a photo set of her work. She is an accomplished artist from Germany who focuses on transforming natural objects or builds structures around natural objects.
Christine Soccio: Painter. She is an artist who I fallow on Flickr. She has some of her art exhibited in galleries and sells her work via etsy. Her painting are very abstract and BRIGHT. She blends all the colors she uses so the cascade and bleed into one another. She also does other work in semi-abstract landscapes.
Bea Mahan : Printmaker/Collage artist. He is an artist from Spain that I (once again) fallow on Flickr. He does very abstract monoprints and collages using a variety of materials. Here is his Flickr page in case you can't read his website...it's all in Spanish.
Margret Durrow : Photographer. She is one of my favorite people to follow on Flickr and Tumblr! I really love her work. She uses all film. Her film is always imperfect, grainy, and skratchy. But, she captures images that seems to come right out of a dream. Many images contain nature themes and close moments with people whom are closest to her.
